Assistant Controller – Remote (US‑listed Cleantech)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join a fast‑growing US‑listed cleantech/infrastructure company. The role is fully remote and offers a unique blend of financial reporting, compliance, and process transformation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual global consolidations under US GAAP.
• Support SEC‑level disclosures and ensure timely, accurate public‑company filings.
• Manage multi‑entity, multi‑currency close processes with precision.
• Oversee operational accounting areas such as hardware revenue, inventory, COGS, ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Drive automation initiatives to streamline close timelines and improve shared‑service workflows.
• Strengthen and test internal controls (SOX/ICFR) to maintain a no‑surprise audit environment.
• Act as primary liaison for quarterly reviews and year‑end audits.

Required profile

• CPA or CA designation with a degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–5 years of experience in a major public accounting firm (Big 4) in the US or Canada.
• Experience with publicly traded, multinational organizations under US GAAP.
• Background in technology, hardware or infrastructure‑related industries.
• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP and public‑company control environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Curious, proactive attitude with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to responsibly use generative AI tools in daily workflows.
