About the role

We are looking for an Asset Coordinator to join a leading IT firm in Vancouver. The role blends hands‑on equipment handling with first‑level help‑desk support, ensuring smooth onboarding, off‑boarding, and day‑to‑day office operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support employee onboarding and off‑boarding by deploying, collecting, and updating equipment inventory.
  • Set up desks for new hires, including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals.
  • Configure and install basic peripherals and workspace equipment.
  • Provide first‑level help‑desk assistance for hardware‑related issues.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory, tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate shipping, receiving, and mailroom handling of equipment and office assets.
  • Process equipment returns, prepare assets for redeployment or disposal, and manage e‑waste disposal.
  • Support office events by setting up and tearing down technology equipment and meeting spaces.
  • Monitor peripheral inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Assist with special projects related to asset management and operational support.

Required profile

  • 1–3 years of experience in asset management, help‑desk, or desktop support.
  • Experience supporting onboarding and off‑boarding processes.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware, peripherals, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 40 lbs and perform hands‑on setup throughout the day.
