Advisor, IT Security

About the role

As an IT Security Advisor you will protect Desjardins’ hardware, software and data from modification, destruction, and unauthorized disclosure. You will work closely with clients, partners and internal stakeholders to design, administer and control security systems that support authentication and access control.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose security issues, challenges and needs to determine target outcomes.
• Develop and implement objectives, policies, programs, reference documents and action plans.
• Analyze system vulnerabilities, design protective measures, and oversee backup, restoration and secure‑by‑design processes.
• Advise and assist clients and partners on security and compliance initiatives.
• Develop tools, methods and processes to improve security posture.
• Prepare studies, recommendations and written reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of two years of relevant IT security experience.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Business insight and interpersonal savvy.
• Trade‑union membership if applicable.
