Accountant – Full Cycle Accounts Payable

About the role

Our client in the electric‑vehicle sector is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to own the full‑cycle Accounts Payable function. You will ensure accurate recording of hardware procurement, installation costs, vendor bills and utilities while supporting month‑end close and process‑improvement projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end AP: code, three‑way match invoices, enter data in the ERP and maintain the vendor master.
• Process high‑volume vendor invoices for hardware, electrical contracting, shipping and corporate utilities; review expense reports and credit‑card statements for tax compliance.
• Execute weekly payment runs (EFT, ACH, wire, checks) and serve as primary contact for vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare AP‑related journal entries, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and monitor aging reports with variance analysis.
• Lead ad‑hoc projects such as AP automation (Ramp, BILL) and support year‑end audit and tax preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA enrolment is a plus.
• 4‑6 years of corporate accounting experience with a focus on full‑cycle AP.
• Background in clean‑tech, hardware manufacturing, construction or high‑growth startups preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and capacity to meet month‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Mid‑market ERP/accounting systems – NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise, Sage.
• AP automation tools – Ramp, BILL (or similar).
• Advanced Excel – VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
