About the role
The Waterblast Operator works in a casting environment, using high‑pressure water equipment to clean and prepare cast parts. The role ensures traceability, quality, and safety while maintaining a tidy work area.
Key responsibilities
- Verify routing card information and match it with castings and melt numbers.
- Maintain heat (traceability) tags and melt number tags on castings.
- Wash parts with high‑pressure water equipment and appropriate attachments.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of castings of varying values.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and organized.
- Sort and identify parts into correct departmental groups.
- Perform additional duties as required and adhere to company ethics, EHS programs, and environmental standards.
Required profile
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Capability to understand and follow activity instructions.
- Comfort with extreme heat conditions.
- Commitment to company values, code of ethics, and health & safety policies.
Required skills
- Operation of high‑pressure water cleaning equipment.
- Use of measuring instruments for verification tasks.
- Handling of hoists for part movement.
