U.S. Corporate Tax Accountant

About the role

Join MNP’s U.S. Corporate Tax team as an Accountant and help clients navigate complex cross‑border tax regulations. You will develop technical expertise while delivering strategic tax solutions that minimize liability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in corporate income tax compliance, tax accounting, research and writing.
• Apply GAAP, the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, and bilateral income tax treaties to client engagements.
• Set up files for new clients, manage multiple engagements, and conduct inventory counts.
• Research tax issues, analyze financial data, and prepare tax returns for various entities.
• Prepare charts of accounts, journal entries, and technical reports for client review.
• Collaborate with engagement teams and build strong client relationships.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and use MNP internal systems effectively.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, preferably with an accounting or finance major.
• Working toward U.S. CPA qualification or IRS Enrolled Agent designation.
• Previous tax or accounting office experience is an asset.
