Site Services & Utilities Lead

About the role

The Site Services & Utilities Lead oversees all daily site services, utilities, and supporting infrastructure at the Wheeler River Project in the Athabasca Basin. Reporting to the Manager of Operational Readiness, the role ensures safe, efficient operations through coordination of contractors, site personnel, and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of water, wastewater, power generation, waste management, and road maintenance systems.
• Coordinate contractors, utilities operators, and service providers to meet operational and safety standards.
• Support maintenance planning, inspections, reporting, and corrective‑action tracking for all site infrastructure.
• Lead daily planning meetings, safety briefings, and operational coordination activities.
• Respond to operational issues, troubleshoot utility systems, and maintain accurate records, permits, and documentation.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in mining, industrial or remote site operations.
• Proven experience overseeing utilities and site services such as water/wastewater, power generation, waste management, and road maintenance.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and operational priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and willingness to work a two‑week rotational schedule.
• First Aid certification or willingness to obtain before start date.

Required skills

• Experience with maintenance tracking or CMMS systems.
