Sessional Lecturer – E‑Learning Environments in Health Care

About the role

The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a sessional lecturer to teach HSC402H5S – E‑Learning Environments in Health Care. The appointment is for the upcoming term and involves delivering in‑person lectures and practical sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course content, including lectures and laboratory sessions.
• Develop, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate grade records and submit final grades.
• Hold regular office hours to support student learning.
• Supervise any sessional instructional assistants or teaching assistants assigned to the course.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in this course or similar subjects.
• Strong academic qualifications and suitability for university instruction.

Required skills

• Ability to design and deliver university‑level curriculum.
• Experience with assessment design and grading.
• Effective communication and student mentorship.

What we offer

• Compensation in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement (rates ranging from $9,997.48 to $11,228.90 per term, inclusive of vacation pay).
