About the role
The Senior Tax Analyst will support U.S. tax compliance, audit defense, consolidated tax accounting, and global tax operations for Chemtrade. Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager, the role works closely with both Canadian and U.S. tax teams and contributes to tax planning initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax deliverables for U.S. compliance.
- Assist with tax audit defense and related documentation.
- Consolidate tax accounting and support financial reporting.
- Participate in global tax operations and cross‑border tax projects.
- Contribute to tax planning and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Canadian and U.S. tax team members.
- Adhere to Chemtrade Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) policies and report incidents.
Required profile
- 3+ years experience in a large multinational corporation or major accounting firm.
- U.S. CPA designation preferred or in‑progress.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax compliance, audit defense, and consolidated tax accounting.
- Ability to work hybrid schedule (one day onsite per week).
