Senior Manager, Cyber Security Product & Innovation

About the role

The Senior Manager, Cyber Security Product & Innovation will lead a small, high‑impact team responsible for shaping BCI’s security posture across new digital products and services. Reporting to the Vice President of Cyber Security, the role combines hands‑on risk assessment, product‑focused security design and strategic innovation to protect the organization’s technology investments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute security strategies for SaaS platforms, AI solutions and other software products.
• Conduct end‑to‑end risk assessments for vendors, cloud services and emerging technologies.
• Build and maintain security programs with limited resources, emphasizing pragmatic, “yes‑and” solutions.
• Collaborate closely with technology, product and business teams to embed security early in development cycles.
• Lead, mentor and grow a small team of security professionals.
• Stay current on cyber‑threat trends and translate them into actionable security innovations.

Required profile

• Proven experience building security programs in lean, entrepreneurial environments.
• Hands‑on expertise in risk assessment for vendors, SaaS, AI and software products.
• Strong partnership mindset with the ability to own work from concept to delivery.
• Background in software development is a distinct advantage.
• Willingness to work onsite at BCI’s headquarters in Victoria, BC.
