Senior iOS Engineer

About the role

OpenTable is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join the OpenTable for Restaurants (OT4R) team. The role starts remotely and will transition to a hybrid schedule with two days per week in our downtown Toronto office. You will help build and enhance the OT4R iOS app that powers shift planning, table management and business growth for restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers to iterate on requirements, UX/UI designs and technical solutions.
• Drive quality by evolving testing practices, conducting architecture and code reviews, and improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Respond to user impact, support escalations and incident resolution in a timely manner.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production‑quality native iOS applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical trade‑offs.
• Capability to lead projects from planning through production.
• Commitment to writing readable, maintainable code with thorough testing.
