Senior Financial Controller (Construction/Project-Based)

About the Position

Reporting directly to the President, you will play a strategic role in shaping the financial future of the company while driving operational excellence through precise project management and financial oversight.

Main Missions

• Strategic Financial Management: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and high-level financial reporting to support Board-level decision-making.
• Project Financial Oversight: Manage project-based finances, including Work in Progress (WIP) tracking, job costing, and margin reporting to optimize performance.
• Process Optimization: Enhance financial systems and reporting accuracy by leveraging and improving ERP platforms.
• Leadership & Compliance: Direct and develop the accounting team, strengthen internal controls, and ensure full compliance across all financial and payroll functions.
• Operational Partnership: Collaborate closely with operations teams to improve project profitability and scalability.

Candidate Profile

• Professional Certification: Must hold a CPA designation.
• Industry Experience: Over 5 years of progressive experience, specifically within the construction sector or project-based environments.
• Leadership Track Record: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting teams.
• Systems Expertise: Strong proficiency in ERP systems and a history of driving continuous improvement through technology.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to provide advisory-level analysis to senior executives.
