Security Engineer (Cloud, Zscaler, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Security Engineer to lead cloud security initiatives in our Calgary office. The role focuses on designing, implementing and managing security controls across multi‑cloud environments while operating key platforms such as Zscaler, Proofpoint and CrowdStrike.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls for AWS (required) and optionally Azure and GCP.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to embed security into cloud workloads and automate controls.
• Administer Zscaler Internet Access and Zscaler Private Access, handling policy configuration, logging and troubleshooting.
• Manage Proofpoint email security, DLP and threat‑intelligence policies to reduce phishing and business‑email‑compromise risks.
• Deploy and operate CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint protection, EDR and incident response.
• Conduct security event analysis, vulnerability assessments and support incident response activities.
• Create automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and integrate security tools across platforms.
• Perform security reviews, risk assessments and audits for cloud and hybrid infrastructures.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in information security engineering with hands‑on cloud exposure.
• Strong knowledge of AWS security services; experience with Azure and/or GCP is a plus.
• Proven experience administering Zscaler, Proofpoint and CrowdStrike solutions.
• Solid scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, proxies and security appliances.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent experience.
