Room Attendant – Hotel Guest Services

About the role

Join the hospitality team at Element by Westin Calgary Downtown as a Room Attendant. You will be responsible for delivering spotless, welcoming guest rooms that reflect the hotel’s commitment to wellness, sustainability, and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, including changing bedspreads, blankets, mattress pads, and shower curtains.
• Inspect fixtures, televisions, radios, and heating/cooling equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Restock and organize cleaning carts with supplies such as towels, cups, toilet paper, and cleaning agents.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in a safe, organized condition.
• Report any service, maintenance, safety, or security discrepancies to the appropriate manager or supervisor.
• Follow all safety and security policies, including WHMIS guidelines, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Positive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
