Residential Designer – Architecture

About the role

Join NORR’s residential design team to create multi‑family, townhome, and senior‑living projects that support smart, walkable communities. You will collaborate across disciplines to deliver high‑quality architectural solutions that meet budget, schedule, and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyze project requirements from reports, codes, and client briefs.
• Develop architectural designs, drawings, and 3D models that align with quality standards and project timelines.
• Coordinate design intent with engineering, MEP, and structural teams.
• Integrate site survey data and field reviews while ensuring compliance with jurisdictional codes.
• Prepare design reports, construction documents, and presentation materials.
• Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and resolve deviations with owners and contractors.
• Review shop drawings and project deliverables for adherence to specifications and corporate quality controls.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in architectural project work, preferably residential.
• Completed post‑secondary education in architecture or a related field.
• Registration with a professional architectural association is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Familiarity with MEP and structural building systems and relevant building codes.
