About the role

The Clinical Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for surgical patients at St. Boniface Hospital. This 0.80 FTE position supports patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, delivering independent nursing services, medication administration, and leadership within the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Lead and coordinate the health‑care team to ensure seamless patient care and discharge planning.
• Work under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services while adhering to hospital policies and the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Recent surgical nursing experience.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• Active participation in professional associations (preferred).
• Ability to pass criminal records, vulnerable sector, and abuse registry checks.
