Quality Manager – Western Canada District

About the role

Kiewit is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control across its major infrastructure projects in Western Canada. The role is based on‑site at one or more construction sites and involves frequent travel throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon and the Northwest Territories.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement project‑specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
• Conduct quality audits, inspections and root‑cause analyses.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and standards.
• Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and drive corrective‑action processes.
• Train and mentor field staff on quality procedures and best practices.
• Interface with clients, subcontractors and regulatory agencies on quality matters.
• Maintain documentation and reporting for quality metrics and performance.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across the district.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality management, preferably on infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, CSA standards and relevant construction codes.
• Proven leadership, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work on‑site across Western Canada.
• Regular, reliable attendance and ability to work overtime or weekends as needed.
