Plant Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Plant Operator to join Scotts Miracle‑Gro’s production team. The role involves operating powered industrial trucks, front‑end loaders and other equipment to move, stack and manage raw and finished materials, ensuring a continuous supply for production.

Key responsibilities

• Operate PITs, front‑end loaders, and other machinery to relocate, stack, count, and load/unload merchandise and palletized goods.
• Prepare organic mixes using heavy‑equipment loaders and manage material segregation.
• Monitor stockpiles for temperature, turn piles, extinguish small fires and apply water as needed.
• Supply production lines with a steady flow of material and perform order filler and checker duties when required.
• Maintain safe and efficient operation of all equipment in compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Experience operating powered industrial trucks, front‑end loaders or similar equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and follow safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of stockpile management and fire safety.
• Willingness to perform additional duties such as order filling and checking.
