Physician – Student Health Services

About the role

The University of British Columbia Student Health Service is seeking a dedicated physician to provide comprehensive primary care to students on the Vancouver campus. The role blends clinical practice with health promotion activities, supporting the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of a diverse student population.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary care services, including same‑day and online appointments, for a full range of health issues.
• Participate in campus health‑promotion programs, creating web‑based resources and delivering presentations on wellness topics.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, health‑promotion educators, counselling services, and university departments such as International Student Development and Sexual Violence Prevention.
• Contribute to on‑call coverage when the clinic is closed and coordinate care with Vancouver General Hospital physicians as needed.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full licensure to practice in British Columbia.
• Experience in adolescent and early‑adult health care.
• Ability to integrate university‑specific health requirements with clinical practice.
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary teamwork and student education.
