About the role
The Overnight Customer Service Representative (Motivator) is the first point of contact for members and prospective members at the Whitby Fitness Centre. Working the night shift, you will create a welcoming, clean, and safe environment while supporting members in achieving their fitness goals.
Key responsibilities
- Greet members and check them in for workouts; welcome walk‑in prospects and direct them appropriately.
- Answer incoming calls within three rings, take messages, and schedule appointments.
- Assist members on the floor with questions about equipment, memberships, and club services.
- Promote and sell memberships, services, and amenities when opportunities arise.
- Handle comments, suggestions, and concerns courteously and professionally.
- Provide Fit‑Fix starter sessions for new and existing members.
- Perform club runs, cleaning tasks, and other duties to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Complete required learning modules and attend monthly team meetings.
Required profile
- Current CPR‑A & AED certification.
- Will obtain Smart Tan certification within three months of hire.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Team‑player who volunteers to help colleagues succeed.
- Approachable, patient, and able to diffuse tense situations.
