Operations Manager – Remanufacturing (Heavy Equipment)

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead a remanufacturing facility for a major heavy‑equipment dealer serving mining, construction and forestry markets. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will shape a nine‑figure component revenue stream and influence senior leadership from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a leadership team of 5‑7 managers across production, parts, engineering, projects, programmes and scheduling.
• Own safety, throughput, quality and the operating budget for a site of ~200 employees.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve flow.
• Maintain and enhance the ISO‑based Quality Management System.
• Present financial, safety and operational performance to executive leadership.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of operations management experience in heavy equipment, manufacturing or remanufacturing.
• Senior leadership experience managing skilled trades and production staff.
• Proven track record of Lean Manufacturing implementation.
• Experience with ISO‑based Quality Management Systems.
• Strong ability to present financial and safety metrics at the executive level.
• Post‑secondary education in engineering, business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Based in Edmonton or willing to relocate.
