MS Fabric Architect and Developer

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced MS Fabric Architect and Developer to design, build, and optimise data solutions on Microsoft Fabric and the broader Azure ecosystem. The role involves close collaboration with client architects and offshore technical teams to deliver high‑quality, compliant data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Work with client architects to define MS Fabric solutions, create architecture and design documents, and conduct code reviews.
• Design and implement scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, and medallion architectures using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and Fabric pipelines.
• Integrate data sources across Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, EventHub/Kafka and ensure governance, security, and compliance (PCI, GDPR, PII).
• Develop Lakehouse components in Fabric (OneLake, Delta tables, shortcuts) and advanced dataflows, notebooks, and Gen2 pipelines.
• Provide expert feedback and best‑practice recommendations based on real‑world experience.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with client architects, technical decision‑makers, and offshore teams.
• Hands‑on experience delivering end‑to‑end data solutions in cloud environments.

• SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server, Visual Studio
• Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, PySpark
• Data engineering fundamentals: ingestion, ETL/ELT, pipelines, medallion architecture, orchestration (ADF/Airflow), streaming
• Modern cloud data stack: Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, EventHub, Kafka
• Governance/security/compliance: PCI, GDPR, PII, encryption, masking, tokenization
• Lakehouse in Fabric (OneLake, Delta tables, shortcuts), Pipelines in Fabric, Dataflows Gen2, Notebook engineering in Fabric
