Maintenance Technician

About the role

Hotel Arts is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its Facilities department. You will work on a diverse range of tasks to keep guest rooms, public areas and meeting spaces operating smoothly, while supporting the growth of the maintenance team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of all building areas, monitoring infrastructure and making adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on guest rooms, including heating, cooling, plumbing, lighting and other systems.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests and deficiencies.
• Complete assigned daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Update the Chief Engineer on project timelines, parts and supply needs.
• Follow the Emergency Response Plan relevant to the position.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team development.
• Perform other comparable duties within the scope of the role.

Required profile

• Previous hotel experience is an asset.
• Trade tickets or certifications are a plus, with a plumbing ticket especially valued.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as business needs dictate.
• Strong time‑management and communication abilities.
• Basic computer knowledge.
