Litigation Lawyer – 3 to 7 Years Experience

About the role

Join a leading international law firm’s Montreal litigation team, advising Canadian and global clients on complex insurance, construction, civil, professional liability and commercial disputes. The position offers exposure to cross‑border matters in a collaborative, bilingual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in civil, commercial and professional litigation matters, both defence and plaintiff side.
• Advise clients on insurance, construction and professional liability issues.
• Develop and implement tailored litigation strategies.
• Prepare and conduct examinations, draft pleadings, legal opinions, briefs and strategic correspondence.
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings and trials.
• Collaborate with experts, external stakeholders and maintain direct client relationships.
• Analyze complex legal, factual and technical issues and manage case files.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Québec Bar.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance, construction, commercial litigation or professional liability (strong asset).
• Strong legal drafting, analytical and advocacy abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English.
• Collaborative, professional attitude with solid client‑service skills.
