About the role

OPTrust is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide operational support to the People Team. You will help deliver HR programs, processes, and services across the organization while working in a hybrid environment in Toronto.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted cross‑functional relationships through accurate support and timely follow‑up.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date employee records in Workday, including hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations.
  • Coordinate and process employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Support payroll inputs and collaborate with Finance/payroll providers for accurate processing.
  • Assist in drafting HR correspondence and preparing presentations, documents, and other materials.
  • Participate in bi‑weekly payroll validation meetings and conduct process audits as needed.
  • Maintain HR documentation, templates, and employee files in line with company policies and legislation.
  • Support onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including benefits enrollment and exit processes.

Required profile

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple HR transactions accurately.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience working with HR processes such as recruitment, leaves management, and employee lifecycle.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, hybrid environment.
