Group Financial Controller

About the role

This is a high‑visibility, technically demanding position at the centre of a fast‑growing, multi‑entity organisation. Reporting to the VP Finance, the Group Financial Controller will own the end‑to‑end consolidation and IFRS reporting process while preparing the company for a future public listing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation for 30+ legal entities under IFRS, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
• Act as the internal IFRS subject‑matter expert for complex areas such as business combinations, lease accounting, impairment testing, share‑option valuations and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain accounting policy notes, financial statement disclosures and audit‑ready working papers.
• Support IPO readiness by establishing public‑company reporting standards, MD&A preparation and SEDAR filing compliance.
• Own the full external audit process and serve as the primary liaison with auditors, tax advisors and consultants.
• Drive financial integration of newly acquired businesses, standardising accounting policies and consolidating systems.
• Maximise the use of Vena, Microsoft D365 Business Central and Sage Intacct for consolidation and reporting automation.

Required profile

• CPA designation with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 3 and IFRS 16.
• Proven experience in large‑scale consolidation, public‑market preparation and M&A integration.
• Self‑driven, able to work independently from day one without people‑management responsibilities.
