Fullstack Developer – Java & React

About the role

Veem is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to help build and scale its core payments platform. The role combines backend design of distributed, high‑throughput services with occasional front‑end work using React, and involves close collaboration with product, design and other engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, distributed SaaS applications that handle high‑volume transactions.
• Develop high‑performance backend services in Java, ensuring reliability, scalability and optimal performance.
• Contribute to front‑end features using React when needed, delivering seamless user experiences.
• Design and implement API‑first integrations with external partners and third‑party systems.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
• Help improve engineering standards, tools and processes across the team.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java as the core language.
• Proven full‑stack experience, preferably with React on the front end.
• Background building and maintaining distributed systems or enterprise SaaS applications, especially in transaction‑heavy environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
