Full Stack Developer (Junior/Intermediate)

About the role

Wave Connect is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Full Stack Developer to join its growing team in Montreal. You will work closely with product and design teams to build new features, enhance existing functionality, and leverage modern AI tools to accelerate development and deliver innovative user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web platform features using Next.js for the frontend and NestJS for the backend.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new product features and improvements.
• Utilize AI‑powered development tools to boost productivity, code quality, testing, and debugging.
• Contribute to the integration of AI‑driven features and workflows within the platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.
• Write clean, maintainable code, tests, and documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional web development experience.
• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with React/Next.js and backend development concepts.
• Experience working with relational databases, preferably MySQL.
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
