Food Safety & Compliance Specialist

About the role

As a Food Safety & Compliance Specialist you will partner with hotel, restaurant and grocery clients to ensure their operations meet Steritech’s brand standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will travel extensively to assess food preparation areas, coach staff and develop corrective action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments measuring conformity to regulatory, industry and proprietary brand standards.
• Observe food preparation, cooking and sanitation practices to verify food safety and health compliance.
• Identify root causes of discrepancies and collaborate with clients to create corrective action plans.
• Teach and coach client teams on creating safer, healthier work environments.
• Travel up to 50% of the time, including evenings and weekends, to serve client locations.

Required profile

• Willingness and ability to obtain a CP‑FS certification.
• Highly flexible schedule (Sunday‑Saturday) to accommodate personal commitments.
• Desire and ability to travel by car or plane up to 50% of work time.
• Physical ability to lift 10 lb, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach.
• Excellent listening, communication, organization and time‑management skills.
• Ability to influence, provide constructive feedback and work autonomously.
• Safe driving record and commitment to safety.
• Strong technical knowledge of food safety (preferred).

Required skills

• CP‑FS certification (or ability to obtain).
• ServSafe certification.
