Financial Controller

About the role

Taiga Motors is a fast‑growing off‑road electric vehicle manufacturer seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the finance team in Montreal. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee all controllership functions, ensuring accurate accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting for a complex manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal requirements.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Oversee tax filings and related compliance activities.
• Support additional controller duties as needed.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a complex inventory environment.
• Proven experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
• Advanced degree in Accounting.
