Fill & De-bridge Operator

About the role

Apex Aluminum Extrusions is seeking a Fill & De-bridge Operator to join its fast‑paced manufacturing team. The operator will run pour and de‑bridge machinery that creates high‑quality aluminum profiles, ensuring safety and consistency on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑operation inspections, clean machines, check pumps, temperatures and nozzle conditions.
• Transport and connect raw material totes using forklifts, and prepare aluminum profile ends for feeding.
• Control the pouring process and adjust de‑bridge equipment to remove thermal barriers and excess material.
• Measure dimensions, conduct ratio, gel‑time, hardness and temperature tests, complete QA sheets and record scrap.
• Replace or repair cutting tools, perform scheduled maintenance and follow lockout/tagout safety procedures.
• Collaborate with teammates, assist in training new operators and support other departments as needed.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect product defects.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting.
• Physical capability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
