About the role

Join Henry Coaster Memorial School in Marten Falls, Ontario, as an Elementary or Junior Intermediate Teacher (K‑8). You will live and work within a vibrant First Nation community, delivering the Ontario curriculum while honoring local culture and traditions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver clear, structured lessons aligned with the Ontario curriculum for Kindergarten‑Grade 6 or Grade 7‑8.
• Use assessment data to close literacy and numeracy gaps through targeted instruction.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and apply special‑education strategies.
• Provide small‑group and one‑on‑one instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and community members.
• Apply trauma‑informed and restorative practices to support student wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching in Ontario schools.
• Willingness to relocate and fully immerse in the Marten Falls community.
• Commitment to culturally responsive teaching and community engagement.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Ontario curriculum.
• Experience with assessment‑driven instruction.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs.
• Familiarity with trauma‑informed and restorative practices.
