Cyber Security Analyst (Remote)

About the role

Aurora, a global leader in the cannabis industry, is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join its Global Cyber Security function. This remote position supports the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of security controls across a cloud‑first, SaaS‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and operate enterprise cybersecurity controls aligned to NIST CSF and CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts, threats, and incidents, coordinating with MSSPs and internal IT teams.
• Lead or support incident response activities, including triage, containment, root‑cause analysis, and lessons learned.
• Maintain and improve security monitoring, detection, and alerting across cloud, endpoint, identity, email, and network security tools.
• Support the implementation and enforcement of Zero Trust principles.
• Identify control gaps, provide visibility into the security posture, and assist with risk‑based remediation.

Required profile

• Experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, and security monitoring.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IT Operations, risk and compliance functions, and external security partners.
• Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to improving security maturity.
