Computer Technician Support Assistant (Temporary) – Calgary Schools

About the role

The Palliser School Division is seeking a full‑time temporary Computer Technician Support Assistant to work in its Calgary schools from early July to late August 2026. The role involves supporting the division’s IT staff in deploying, maintaining and de‑provisioning computer equipment across multiple school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and test desktop computers, laptops, Chromebooks and Chromeboxes.
• Assist with inventory management and equipment redeployment.
• Provide laptop and wireless network support to staff and students.
• Perform workstation maintenance and hardware upgrades.
• Travel to various schools within the Palliser division as required.

Required profile

• Relevant training and experience in computer hardware support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IT technicians.
• Willingness to travel between school sites.

Required skills

• Desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Chromebook and Chromebox setup.
• Wireless networking support.
• Inventory management of IT assets.
