About the role
BYD is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead market entry, dealer network development, and strategic growth for its passenger vehicle division across Canada. This senior leadership position will shape the nationwide sales strategy and drive sustainable growth for BYD’s electric mobility solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
- Establish, grow, and manage a high‑performing dealer network while fostering strong relationships with key partners.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to create effective go‑to‑market plans.
- Lead commercial negotiations, dealer agreements, and business development initiatives.
- Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and market trends; prepare forecasts and management reports.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Planning, Supply Chain, Aftersales, and Operations to support market expansion and product availability.
Required profile
- Senior leadership experience with a focus on market entry and dealer network development.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proven ability to drive strategic growth.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market insights.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally with internal teams to achieve business objectives.
