Clinical Information System (CIS) Delivery Lead

About the role

The Clinical Information System (CIS) Delivery Lead is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery of CIS programs, including EHR implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, and optimization initiatives. The role leads multidisciplinary teams across clinical, technical, vendor and client domains to ensure programs meet scope, schedule, quality, regulatory and patient‑safety requirements. It is typically deployed in large public‑sector health system transformations using platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH or Altera.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mobilize multi‑disciplinary delivery teams, including internal staff, vendors and client resources.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery accountability for CIS programs or workstreams and ensure adherence to formal delivery methodologies, governance and quality‑assurance standards.
• Manage scope, change control, schedule, dependencies and delivery risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Revalidate delivery estimates at key milestones, track metrics against baseline plans and ensure readiness for design, build, testing, go‑live and stabilization phases.
• Partner closely with clinical leaders, informatics leads and operational stakeholders to align CIS solutions with clinical workflows.
• Coordinate delivery across CIS vendors (Epic, Oracle Health, MEDITECH, etc.) and oversee integration with ancillary systems such as lab, pharmacy, imaging and revenue‑cycle.
• Ensure compliance with information‑governance, privacy and security policies and participate in quality reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering large‑scale healthcare transformation programs.
• Familiarity with public‑sector health systems and major EHR platforms.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements and patient‑safety considerations.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and system integration across ancillary healthcare applications.
