Base Crew Foreman – Road Construction

About the role

Park Paving Ltd. is seeking an experienced Base Crew Foreman to lead road base construction projects for the 2026 season. This seasonal role offers a competitive wage, benefits, and the use of a company truck for work travel.

Key responsibilities

• Place and construct gravel road base structures.
• Measure, order, and manage daily material requirements.
• Maintain time and material records for accurate job costing.
• Supervise, educate, and train crew members on safe work practices.
• Conduct daily field‑level hazard assessments and ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Plan daily project procedures with crew to maximize productivity.
• Inspect and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Perform labour and equipment‑operator tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in road building.
• Strong understanding of road construction specifications and standards.
• Physically fit for repetitive bending, lifting, kneeling, and long‑duration walking.
• Ability to work in inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt environments.
• Punctual, able to work full‑time, overtime, and weekends.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a medical/fitness exam.
