Assistant Security Coordinator

About the role

The Assistant Security Coordinator supports the Security Coordinator in managing daily security operations across a 24/7 campus environment. This uniformed position ensures that security services are delivered professionally and that customer‑service standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate work for Patrol Officers during regular shifts and major campus events.
• Assist the Security Coordinator in implementing policies, procedures, and operational targets.
• Communicate objectives and tasks to front‑line staff and act as a liaison with stakeholders on special projects.
• Step in to fully assume Security Coordinator duties during their absence.
• Investigate issues, gather input, and recommend solutions to improve departmental performance.

Required profile

• Experience supervising security or safety personnel in a campus or similar environment.
• Strong organizational and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, students, and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of security operations and emergency response protocols.
• Proficiency in using standard security communication tools and reporting systems.
