About the role
The Assistant Manager, Capital Planning & Development supports the delivery of major capital building projects across UBC's Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. Reporting to the Director and receiving day‑to‑day direction from the Manager, this role ensures accurate planning, reporting, and financial management of campus infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse project progress, compliance, and close‑out reports for government and funding partners.
- Develop quarterly capital forecasts and submit business cases for external funding.
- Coordinate capital project updates for the Board of Governors and executive leadership.
- Administer routine capital program activities and post‑occupancy reviews within established guidelines.
- Collaborate with UBC Capital Finance Management, Facilities units, and project stakeholders.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in capital planning, project finance, or facilities management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to work with multiple internal and external partners.
- Knowledge of government funding requirements and compliance processes.
