Architect – Sustainable Design & Project Management

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Architect to join our urban‑based firm and lead sustainable design projects. The role focuses on delivering environmentally responsible building solutions that align with Canada’s net‑zero targets.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust designs to meet budget constraints and material cost limits.
• Consult with clients to define style, purpose, and scope of new builds or renovations.
• Create detailed building plans and drawings for contractors and tradespersons.
• Coordinate technical activities across architecture and engineering teams.
• Manage projects, ensuring compliance with town planning laws and environmental impact assessments.
• Conceptualize building designs, develop specifications, material selections, cost estimates, and construction schedules.
• Prepare sketches, models, and conduct architectural research.
• Monitor construction sites to verify adherence to design specifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects.
• LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain high attention to detail.
• Strong client focus with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized, team‑oriented, and flexible.
