Accountant – Medical Clinic

About the role

Our client, a long‑standing family clinic group, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the Mississauga location. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations in a collaborative, owner‑managed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks, post financial transactions, and prepare interim financial reports.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card and petty‑cash accounts, consolidating data across multiple software systems.
• Manage corporate minute books, business name registrations, and fixed‑asset depreciation schedules.
• Prepare and file HST and other regulatory reports as required.
• Identify and implement process improvements and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external accountants to provide data for annual financial statements.
• Handle payroll processing, government remittances, T4 preparation and employee time allocation.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including supplier record maintenance and credit/collection policies.
• Administer virtual payment processing and maintain organized physical and digital office records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA considered an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
