Store Director – Luxury Retail (Montreal)

About the role

The Store Director leads Hermès’ boutique in Montreal, overseeing all aspects of performance, from sales and client service to operations and merchandising. Reporting to the Commercial Retail Director of Hermès Canada, the role ensures the store meets business objectives while delivering the brand’s luxury experience.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales to meet or exceed budget, develop and execute client‑centric sales plans.
• Lead by example on the floor, fostering high‑level service, clienteling and brand ambassadorship.
• Coach, train and motivate the team, ensuring product expertise and after‑sales support.
• Recruit, onboard and develop talent, set performance goals and conduct regular audits.
• Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts and semi‑annual inventories, and ensure compliance with operating policies.
• Maintain pristine store presentation, both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house, and oversee merchandising standards.
• Provide regular business reports with analysis and recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in luxury or high‑end retail, preferably as a store director or senior manager.
• Strong sales track record with ability to achieve and exceed targets.
• Excellent client relationship skills and a deep understanding of luxury brand standards.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and retain talent, fostering a motivated team environment.
• Analytical mindset with experience preparing business reports and inventory analyses.
