Senior Flight-Operations Satellite Systems Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Flight‑Operations Satellite Systems Engineer within the System Engineering Department, you will lead the analysis, planning and definition of constellation operations concepts of operations (ConOps) and oversee the preparation, testing and execution of operational procedures for LEO/MEO satellite missions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct trade‑off studies and design the overall Satellite LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) plan, including simulations.
• Develop, validate and oversee execution of in‑orbit operations procedures, operation manuals, test procedures and associated training.
• Create verification & validation matrices for commissioning, routine and contingency operations.
• Support In‑Orbit Test (IOT) activities, anomaly resolution and fault‑diagnosis‑isolation‑recovery (FDIR).
• Maintain and operate the satellite simulator, including script development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of hands‑on experience with LEO/MEO satellite systems and automated operations.
• Proven systems‑engineering background covering space and ground‑segment design, flight‑software integration and telemetry concepts.

Required skills

• Python (or other scripting languages).
• MATLAB.
• AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK).
• Microsoft Excel for engineering analyses.
• Requirements‑management tools such as IBM DOORS, Windchill or Jama.
