Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an elite Backend Systems Architect to design, build, and maintain hyper‑scalable, fault‑tolerant infrastructure for our Web3 platform. The role is fully remote and requires 24/7/365 availability to handle real‑time hot‑fixes and traffic spikes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, scale, and maintain high‑performance server‑side logic and distributed systems.
• Build and optimise flexible, self‑documenting API schemas (REST/GraphQL) connecting internal data layers to consumer interfaces.
• Architect resilient, decentralized system nodes with zero single points of failure.
• Design performant database schemas, indexes and caching strategies for sub‑millisecond data retrieval.
• Stress‑test, optimise and scale core service clusters to handle explosive traffic spikes.
• Implement rigorous monitoring, automated failover protocols and error‑handling to ensure 24/7 uptime.

Required profile

• Proven experience shipping production‑grade, highly resilient backend ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of data structures, concurrency, network protocols and performance profiling.
• Willingness to be on‑call seven days a week and respond to critical incidents.
• Familiarity with Web3 technical challenges such as digital asset data and transaction validation.
• Self‑motivated, writes clean idiomatic code, comprehensive tests and manages own development pipeline.
