Principal AI Security Engineer

About the role

Cerebras Systems is looking for a Principal AI Security Engineer to lead hands‑on security engineering across its AI platforms, training and inference workloads, model‑serving systems and agentic automation. You will design and implement security controls that protect sensitive data, customer environments, models, tools and control planes in a fast‑moving, large‑scale AI hardware environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define security architecture and build controls for AI platforms, training, inference, model‑serving and customer workloads.
• Develop reusable AI and agent security patterns for identity, authorization, scoped tool access, secrets, approvals, isolation and auditability.
• Design runtime controls that limit execution, data exposure, model‑tool interaction and blast radius.
• Implement security capabilities as code using IaC, policy‑as‑code, GitOps, CI/CD and automated validation.
• Automate security reviews, policy checks, evidence collection and remediation workflows.
• Instrument AI, agent and platform activity with telemetry, audit logs, anomaly detection and response workflows.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in security engineering, platform or infrastructure security, or related technical security roles.
• Strong hands‑on engineering ability in Python and at least one additional production language.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security on AWS, including IAM, networking, secrets management, logging and cloud‑native control planes.
