About the role
We are seeking a lawyer to plead cases before courts, draft legal documents, negotiate settlements, and provide mediation, conciliation and arbitration services. The role involves researching legal precedents and gathering evidence to support client matters.
Key responsibilities
- Plead clients' cases before courts, tribunals and boards.
- Draw up legal documents and prepare statements of legal opinion.
- Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
- Offer mediation, conciliation and arbitration services.
- Research legal precedents and gather evidence.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant legal experience.
- Membership in the Canadian Bar Association and a provincial law society.
- Accurate, organized with excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and large caseloads.
