Junior Industrial Process Engineer (EIT) – Atlantic Canada

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer‑in‑Training or Junior Industrial Process Engineer to join our Atlantic Canada team, working on pulp and paper, forestry, tissue manufacturing and related industrial facilities. The position offers hands‑on experience from data collection through design, construction support and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Support process engineering assignments for pulp and paper, forestry, tissue manufacturing and other industrial process facilities.
• Prepare deliverables such as process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances, process calculations and technical reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and automation specialists.
• Assist with feasibility studies, process optimisation, facility expansions, modernisation projects and operational improvement initiatives.
• Participate in field reviews, equipment evaluations, plant performance reviews and construction/commissioning support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Registered Engineer‑in‑Training (or eligible for APEGNB registration) with 2–4 years of industrial process experience, preferably in pulp and paper.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities and a willingness to learn from senior engineers.
