About the role

The Health & Safety Coordinator will support project sites by administering safety programs, ensuring compliance with legislation, and promoting a positive safety culture across all locations.

Key responsibilities

Assist in the administration and maintenance of the organization’s safety programs to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
Support the company’s ISO certification requirements.
Attend JHSC meetings and record meeting minutes.
Promote a positive safety culture and conduct safety orientations for new employees.
Track, organize, and coordinate employee training, including safety orientation.
Prepare and file site safety reports, toolbox talks, and related documentation.
Travel periodically to various sites to conduct inspections, PPE audits, and safety audits.
Assemble job safety boards and coordinate safety equipment.

Required profile

Post‑secondary diploma or degree in a related OHS discipline.
Valid driver’s license.
Effective working knowledge of applicable safety legislation.
Ability to work flexibly in a fast‑paced environment.
