About the role
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team at Mirchi Masala Restaurant & Sweets in Winnipeg. The role focuses on preparing South Indian, East Indian, West Indian and vegetarian dishes while ensuring high quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus, estimate food requirements and coordinate special events and buffets.
- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and accommodate customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Order and manage kitchen supplies, maintain inventory records and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, oversee portion sizing, cost control and kitchen inspections.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of kitchen experience in a restaurant setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Client‑focused, flexible, reliable team player with good judgment and time‑management skills.
