Air Traffic Services Instructor

About the role

CAE is launching a dedicated Air Traffic Services training division in partnership with NAV CANADA. The Air Traffic Services Instructor will join a new training centre on the CAE campus in Montreal to deliver initial classroom and simulator training for future flight‑information specialists and air traffic controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction and simulator briefings in strict accordance with CAE standards and client SOPs.
• Facilitate simulator sessions, ensuring adherence to operational procedures.
• Act as proctor for theoretical exams, simulator assessments, and progression evaluations.
• Maintain accurate training records and document simulator usage and observed variances.
• Recommend corrective training when learners do not meet required progress benchmarks.
• Participate in ongoing ATS or pedagogical refresher courses as needed.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and contribute to continuous improvement of curricula, teaching materials, and training processes.

Required profile

• Successful completion of the minimum qualification and experience requirements approved by Transport Canada for air traffic services.
• Demonstrated experience as an air traffic services or ATC instructor.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian ATS regulations and NAV CANADA training programmes.
• Excellent communication skills in French and English.
